“Art should always disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed.” ~ Cesar Cruz
Welcome to Saturn's ring system - a chaotic place of destruction and creation. Here you'll find random bits of inspiration and emotion that come together in my artwork, poetry, and projects.
This is a poem about the tradition of gifting fresh-cut flower bouquets. Severing a flower from its roots dooms it to wilt and die eventually, no matter how much you water or feed it. Why do we give dying flowers to people we care for and love? Why not potted flowers with their roots and life intact? Your roots define your identity and give you strength to endure the storm, never cut yourself off from your beginnings. A flower without roots is already dead. A flower with roots will continue to grow.
This is a poem about my abusive and exploitative marriage. For anyone that has endured narcissistic abuse and rage. Don't let anyone clip your wings. Know yourself, and your worth - before it's too late. The pain of leaving a relationship like this is far less than wasting your life away trying to repair and gain satisfaction from it. Toxic people will drain you of your energy - reach for freedom and trust yourself.

Inspired by the works of Japanese sculptor, Ruth Asawa, I tried my hand in a mini-scale version of her simple. yet complex wire sculpturing techniques. Through a repetitive series of loops and negative space, we can create organic forms out of inorganic metallic wire. Allowing the delicate metal to shape the space around it creates a sense of surrealism, femininity, and possibility.
